It was the first day of high school, freshman year, and everyone was getting to class with their friends. Isa though, didn’t really have any. Everyone saw her as a weirdo, and no one really ever bothered to talk to her. Then there was Caleb. He was very known and everyone wanted to be is friend. It was also really hard for him to leave anyone out. He was a sweet boy and was very handsome, too. Most girls even went to his high school after middle school just to see him. Isa was walking to school since her house is only a block away, when suddenly she saw Caleb. Caleb was lost and he looked clueless. She approached him and was surprised he didn’t walk away from her like everyone else ever did. Isa then said “Hi, if you're looking for piper high its over that way.” Caleb then laughed and smiled saying “thank you!” Isa just stood there while he walked away thinking he was so nice and got a flutter in her stomach. The feeling you usually get from love at first sight. Caleb also felt that as he rushed to class and couldn’t stop thinking about her. A few months passed ever since that day. It was a Friday after school and Isa decided she wanted to go to the park. So, she quickly left school, changed and dropped off her bag then went off to the park. It was spring in Japan so at this time of the year the blossom trees blossomed with their beautiful white and pink pedals. Isa walked in the park until she found a beautiful big blossom tree and went to go set a blanket to sit under the tree near a river. She had had a long day that day, so she just went to the park to clear her mind up and enjoy the view. An hour passed and then suddenly she saw the boy. The same boy she saw that one morning. The one she helped find where their school is. Caleb saw her, too. He approached her and then said, “Hi, I was just passing by and I couldn’t help but notice you.” Isa looked up and was immediately flattered by Calebs kind eyes and nice smile and felt flutter in her stomach once again. She said “hi” back and then Caleb asked if he could join her. She nodded yes. He sat and then said, “Isa, right?” Isa looked at him and asked, “how do you know my name?” Caleb said, “I have almost all my classes with you, how wouldn’t I know?” After that Isa said, “Caleb, right?” He nodded and smiled while looking at her. After that moment that was the first time isa had ever felt noticed by someone. They then began to talk for hours. She didn’t know why he was so nice to her, but she felt happy. She finally had someone to talk to. They found out they had a lot in common and Caleb realized she had a very sweet heart, and she was a very sweet person. After hours they were still laughing and talking together but after a while it got quiet. Caleb smiled while he sat looking up at the sky. He then turned to look at her, and she looked at him. She didn’t know what she was feeling but she felt something for him. Caleb, though, was aware how he felt as they looked at each other. Caleb then got nervous and covered his face with his arms. Isa was confused and just stared at him clueless as he was laying his head down on his arms. Caleb said, “sorry, it’s embarrassing” and Isa just laughed as he smiled. Caleb said, “Isa, you're not like what people think of you as. Your so kindhearted and I don’t know how no one would ever want to talk to you.” Isa looked at him as he spoke such words to her. She was left there, speechless. She softly said, “Thank you.” After that they both had to go, and they said goodbye to each other. It was then the next day at school and Caleb saw isa. Without hesitation he went and sat next to her in class. Caleb said, “Good morning, Isa.” “Good morning” Isa replied nervously. She didn’t know what Caleb was doing talking to her out of anyone. About two months passed and Caleb and Isa had grown a lot closer, and Isa started making bonds with people, too. However, after a while someone spread a rumor saying that Isa was saying bad stuff about her new friends, and that she was using Caleb. Isa hadn’t heard about this rumor yet but she instantly noticed that her friends started acting as if they were upset with her and they were doubting her. Caleb though, didn’t listen to any of the rumors and didn’t believe any of them because he knew and trusted that Isa was not like that. Isa heard about the rumor after about a day and overthought until she concluded that it might be best to distance herself from Caleb and her friends so that she wouldn’t ruin their reputation. Isa struggled avoiding Caleb and her friends, but mostly Caleb. She had a way more different feeling for Caleb than any of her other guy friends. But she had never fallen in love, so she didn't quite know what she was feeling. A day passed and Caleb waved at Isa after school. As soon as Isa was about to wave back, she hesitated and put her hand down and walked away. Caleb was confused and noticed that Isa was acting off, so he decided that he would meet her after school to talk to her. Their last class finally ended, and Caleb rushed off to wait for Isa outside of school near the exit. As Isa walked near the exit, she saw that Caleb was there. Caleb stopped her and asked, “Did I do anything? Do you hate me?” “No, of course not how could I hate you?” replied Isa. “Then why are you avoiding me? Tell me what’s wrong.” Isa explained to him, and he then said, “That’s not fair, you don't get to decide for me. I don't care about the rumors, and I don't believe them.” Isa apologized and Caleb said, “It's okay. You don't have to be sorry for that you were overwhelmed, I understand.” Isa said, “Thank you” and Caleb said, “No more distancing, okay?” as he laughed. Isa smiled and laughed, too. She was happy, instead of pushing her away he didn’t let her go away. He truly wanted to be with her and around her. They walked together until they got to a bridge, the sun was setting, and then there they finally confessed their feelings for each other. Caleb said, “Isa, ever since that one day before school started, the day that you helped me find my way to school, I fell for you. The moment I saw your beauty I was mesmerized, and my stomach suddenly felt like there was butterflies in my stomach.” He laughed and then continued, “But it’s not just your beauty that I love, it's also the kindness in your eyes, the sweetness you carry, the way you smile, and the way you make me feel.” Isa stood there, looking into his eyes. He got nervous again and looked away. She laughed and said, “It’s funny because I feel the exact same about you. Ever since I met you my life changed for the better.” Caleb smiled and Isa said, “I love you.” He said it back as he leaned in for a kiss.

POEMA
My heart and mind have a dream, our dream,
one that we want to really achieve.
To achieve it I need to put in the hours,
and I need to gain enough power.
so that even if times get rough,
I can still stay tough.
If there is a slight bit of wanting to give up,
I remember myself that my goal is wanting to make it to the top.
My progress will need to grow, somewhat like a tower.
I must blossom and thrive, just like a flower.
I need to stand out and I must not be coward.
It's sort of like making a cake and I am the flour.
You start with the base and work yourself up.
Ingredients one by one, mixing them with care and precision,
adding flavor and texture, making it fun.
Devouring each moment and savoring the grind,
I get better with every obstacle I overcome.
Just like the cake, my dreams will then start to take shape.
I'll shine like a beacon and then shower with success,
Tell me will the happiness now really even compare to all the stress?
